The plugin adds a box on the right hand side of the post editor. You can set the default category (something like “Archived”) which will be added to those news items you want to expire reach the expiration time you set. You can do this by going to “Settings” > “Post Expirator”.
The other option is to automatically un-publish the article or delete it (you can manually over-ride the automatic settings for individual posts).
